To Mr. Howard Mullen
Sheboygan Wisconsin

Hi Friend:

Say Howard I received 58 letters today which were from Sept & Nov. and there were three from you and one from your Mother. I’m sorry I didn’t get these sooner and answered but it just didn’t happen that way.

Well tomorrow will be my last day at the hospital here and I’ll be sent back up on the line to my outfit. I was wounded twice in the past 50 days (40 of them on the line) but neither time ever serious. First time shrapnel hit me in the right wrist but all I needed was first aid treatment. Put on powder and bandage to stop infection. That time was the last of Feb. A Jerry rolled one on the right fore arm but it was March 4th before I got to the hospital here. I can’t go into detail because the censor would just cut it out anyway. Got treated darn good here and hate to leave. Sure was to find about Speuk & Sewing getting killed. How’s the gals?? Say hello to everybody and if you see Vergin he’ll tell you more about me getting wounded (I wrote & told the folks). Take care of yourself & be good.
