Dear Ma,
Don’t know much to write about today for I didn’t get any mail today. Really didn’t expect any after yesterday. I didn’t have to work today so I have been taking it pretty easy. Wrote a letter to Junior this morning and one to Beryle this afternoon. For some reason I haven’t been in the mood to do much writing since I got here.
Donnie Parrey and Jim Furlong were interviewed today for Yeoman. They don’t know whether they will get it or not. Probably get some schooling out of it if they did. Hope they were lucky enough to.
Did Rona ever get the box of gum I sent her. Probably was kind of stale but it would be something for her to chew on.
What did my Aunt Nellie have to say about me getting engaged or does she know about it? Did you ever get the thrashing money? I guess that by now they have all the thrashing done.
Well ma I don’t know anything to write about today so will close.
Love Howard
