Dear Ma,
Didn’t write last night for it was late when I got back and didn’t know anything to write about. I didn’t have any mail from you yesterday or today, but had a letter from Beryle. Also had two papers.
Ernest and I took some pictures yesterday, but I don’t know how they will turn out. Don’t think that he will be here too much longer.
I saw Francis the other evening and he said that Ray is still here writing assignment. He has three months here now which is unusual for they only usually keep them in general detail for a couple of weeks.
I guess that Leonard Bennett has went back off of leave, Suppose that he will be sent out to the Pacific now.
We sure have been having some hard days lately. Have to work hard every day now.
I have a clipping here that I cut out of a paper here that I am sending you. It is really one of the truest things that I have ever read in my opinion.
Will close for now.
Love
Howard
