Dear Ma,
I got four letters this noon at mail call so I feel pretty good. I really got a big surprise by getting one from Junior. Probably won’t get another one from him for quite awhile.
I know Beryle and you have been quite anxious for mail, but it isn’t my fault for I have written every day.
There is a way to start that car by taking up the hood but I couldn’t tell you how. Whenever you see Junior and he has time have him fix the brakes. They weren’t any too good when I left.
Its so funny how red raspberrys are always so high priced. Don’t I would pay seventy cents a quart for them.
Sure would like to be home and see Willie start to combine. That ought to be real good.
Francis was telling me that Ray had been in another fight. Sure too bad he didn’t stay when he went. That kid he was fighting with is quite a bit smaller than Buck.
Well ma I will close for now and get this in the afternoon mail. It is now 3.30.
Love
Howard
