Dear Ma,
Missed writing last night so I had better write a few lines now. Didn’t get any mail from you again today, but got two letters from Beryle and one from little Mac. It was just like the ones she use to write to Rosa. May an I sure got a kick out of it. She told about all the people that were on the telephone line and who she had talked to and who she subbed in on. At the end she signed all the familys name, but added that it was written by Mae. She really is a card isn’t she.
We worked at the party tonight but got home early. Really will be able to fix you up some wonderfull dishes when I get home. Should of seen the vegetable salad I made out of cabbage, carrots, peppers, parsely and tomatoes. Didn’t care much for the taste of it myself but it had color to it an went over big. We us worry about seasoning things, but there isn’t nothing to it. Everything is seasoned to suit your own taste. Made a bunch a sausage the other day an I really put a lot of sage in it. Everything has to be highly seasoned. Did you ever hear of them putting carrots and celery in hamburger. Wouldn’t be so bad if they would let a person put in some onions.
I did know how to make baking powder biscuits, but haven’t did it so long I have forgotten.
Well ma it is getting close to lights out so I will close.
