Dear Ma,
Feel fine tonight for I got four letters today. Two from Beryle, one from you and one from Lorraine Kristing. Yours and one of Beryles came straight from home and the other two letters had been forwarded.
Guess Nettie and Herb would be surprised to see you. Didn’t Nettie have any news to tell you. They probably be pretty pleased with you coming over.
You had better get plenty of stuff canned up for I think this thing will be over before so terrible long. I opened a lot of canned pineapple today and I thought how you would of liked to have that. It is better than what we get in the states for it seems to be riper. Sure is good.
Sure hope Clinton Gobble is coming home for he really deserves to. Sure will be swell when all those fellows get home.
Don’t know what could of been cut out of my first letter for I am allowed to tell you that I am in the Territory of Hawaii. Some of those dumb Censors don’t know straight up.
Don’t blame Buddy for being pleased with them getting a milking machine. They are getting to be pretty modern farmers. Wonder what Harry thinks of it. Can’t blame Buddy for being proud of his cow. Sure am glad that you are getting my mail. Probably the reason you have got more letters than Beryle is that it depends on whether they get censored right away. You should both have the same amount.
But that the boys will be surprised at hearing from you. Write Willis a few lines for he really appreciates a letter.
Wasn’t too surprised at Pritz losing out for he isn’t too well known. Hated to see one of the Thomases get in. Guess that Jim and Bob would be tickled to see you. You and Dolly sure get around. Sure am glad you do. Sure is nice that Bob thinks so much of Jim and the baby. Sure hope Imelda is able to make out all right. Sure am surprised at Greatgrandma Thompson getting up. How did Junior and Thomas like the fair?
I heard Junior speak of Joe for Ray but I didn’t know him. Sure would be a blessing if Ethel did go quick for her and Adel must be an awful care.
Sure does sound like fall when you start talking about filling silo. Won’t be too long before it rolls around.
Guess that Rena May is all excited about going down to Blessing. Hope she has a good time.
