Dear Ma,
Finally got some decent paper to write on today. Went up to the big ships service and got it. Didn’t get any letters from home today, but expect two from you and two from Beryle tomorrow. They must of put the airmail on the train. They do that whenever they get to much to go by air.
Got a letter from Lenny today and he is in South America. Said he didn’t know how long he would be there, but liked it pretty well. I don’t think it is as nice as this place has been.
Forgot to tell you but we got a short deferment and don’t go until Tuesday now. Was glad to get a few days more vacation. They are having a regular house cleaning now. Got paid this morning. It took so long that some of them had to go back this afternoon. I am going to send some of it home. I am sending ten dollars in this letter. It sure has been hot here today. The hottest it has been since I got here. One thing for sure it will get good and cold tonight. Well ma news is real scarce tonight so I will close for now.
Love & Kisses
Howard
