Dear Howard
Sorry I have been so long in answering your letter but it seems that I can’t find any time to write letters or else I just don’t take the time.
Well – only two more weeks here in Kansas City. In a way I am ready to move and in another way I am going to hate to leave this town. We moved this week and are now living in another hotel – The Frederic. I don’t like it as well but I do have my buddy in the same room with me.
Bill and I got in from school at about 1:30. Bill and I were still talking at five this morning. Of course we didn’t go to bed until three. We did exercises and bathed before we went to bed and then when we got into bed we starting in talking about radios, photography & airplane motors. It was after five when we went to sleep and noon when we got up.
We got passes the next 4 weekends so that makes it nice. I wish I were a little closer to Wisconsin. Of course I have the folks in Columbia to go see. Edna was up and spent one weekend with me. Mother is talking of coming up before I leave. We are generally up in arms.
Usual. We are studying transmitters and it is plenty tough. I’m afraid maybe my good average will slip.
How is everybody and everything going up there? Be sure and tell them hello for me and write and tell me the news.
We have been having hot and rainy weather here. It is really very miserable. The last couple of days have been better though. Haven’t decided yet what I will do this weekend. We have passes but can’t leave town until Sunday because we have a formation to make Sunday Morning.
Don’t know much more to tell you except that I would a lot rather be home. Write Soon.
As ever

Hope you can read this letter! I am sitting on my bed using a telephone book as a table.
