Dear Ma,
I don’t know a thing more than I did yesterday, but will write you a few lines so you will know that I am still here. Called a bunch of fellows today but they missed us again.
Haven’t did very good as far as mail is concerned today, but I might get one in tomorrows mail. Didn’t get any last Tuesday though. Haven’t got the papers yet, but then they take quite awhile. Francis and I are both anxious to get them. Didn’t write many letters today for I played horse shoes all morning. Wrote eight yesterday.
Just came back from night mail call an no luck.
Harold and Donnie Murray are going to play pool tonight. Was going to the show but changed my mind. I sure am full for I ate a quart of ice cream. Had a poor supper tonight so I thought I would get my energy that way. They have real good ice cream here for fifteen cents a pint.
Well ma they are waiting for me so I will close for tonight.
Love Howard
