Dear Howard,

We didn’t have much luch picking straw berries, that wonderful patch we picked in that time is nothing much but weeds now, we only got about 5 boxes and they were small, I will have some strawberry preserves when you come home, Rach went over with us, he just puts me in mind of Uncle Henry, I told him so and he said how he knew Grandpa and all of them he said the Tippetts were smart people, they knew how to talk & reason. I must tell you how your sister took me down, I said to her did you hear what he said about the Tippetts, he said they were smart people!” And she said, “But I don’t think he was referring to the younger generation though”. a snappy come back wasn’t it? she knew by his talk that it was my ancestors he was talking about, it is cool here and I am working at the garden, Delbert helped me with the papers he said it is all right to be truthful, but don’t tell to much of the truth, I bought a 30 board and Willy a 25 one.

Love
Mom
