Dear Howard,
Received your V-mail letter a couple day ago which you wrote Feb. 28. Was glad to hear from you. I am getting more mail than I ever can get to much mail.
There is not much doing around here. Just the same thing every day. I don’t remember if I wrote to you since I got assigned to my new outfit or not but will tell you a bit about it in this letter. I am in the Radio section, H.Q. Btry. I have been busy learning codes and studying about these Radios ever since I got in this outfit.
I like this radio work real well. Nice bunch of chaps in this outfit. I was glad to hear Pat Hanza met up with Jack Benott. Both they were glad to see each other. It was nice Jeff R. got home. Gee! I haven’t heard from him for a long time. That was some accident Speed Harty had. That sure is too bad they got killed. I thought they would be tearing the Bat Mine down soon. They got a lot of mineral out of that mine. You said Tom Fraser was home again. He was lucky to get home again. South Wayne Must’ve had a good team to win the tournament. Just wished I was back there throwing them through the hoop. Guess them kind of good old days are gone for ever.
Well Howard news is scarce around here so I better close for now. I’ll just say Cheery-all until next time.
Friend Buck
