Dear Mac,

Had our interviews today to see whether
we would go to school or not. I am recommended for Radar school first and second for Doctors apprentice. That’s no sign a person is going to go but it helps a lot. The officer said my marks were very good. Sure hope I get to go.

We had our shots today on my arms is
awful sore tonight. I hope it feels better
in the morning. We had three of them today.

How is the old gas buggy working now.
Did you go to town Wednesday night? I
suppose that I won the money? Sure wish
you could win it about that allotment apply for a B1 and wait awhile before you send it in. They might send it out anyway. They did with Sally anyway.

I got your letter this noon and Beryle’s tonight. Hers always comes in the night mail.
I wrote Jr. & Jenelda a Card last night. I
wish I could write fast like some people.
It sure is hot here an awful hard on
the white clothes. Have to wash again!
tomorrow night.

Just heard that we are getting up at
four in the morning so I am turning in
right now. It is a quarter to nine.

Will write more when I have time.

Love,
Howard

Tomorrow is a Captains inspection an
everything has to be perfect. The saying here
is there is the right way and the Navy
way an we do everything the Navy away.
