Dear Howard:

Well I’ll drop you a few lines. I am on C.G. at the present time and don’t much to do at present. I am only on for 3 hrs. I get off at 7 o’clock and then I am going to the show at 8.

I went to the stage show last night. “Lete talent” mostly all army personnel talent. it was good and free. I got back to camp Friday night at 9 o’clock. So I did okay.

Things have changed around here now, there aren’t so many men so we will get plenty of guard duty and K.P. It’s a nasty day, has been raining all day and it’s not to warm down here. I was on detail all week. Kelly yesterday, that part of the camp is beautiful.

I a pretty good time coming down, saw a show while I layed over in Kansas City. There was plenty of snow out in Iowa Wed night. I had a good time with a girl on the way down. I have received two letters from Ray since I got back.

The girl that gave me the bracelet has joined the waves. It’s good to be back. Thanks a lot for the use of the car and for taking me to Phillips. Write when you can.

So long for now your friend
Ernie

P.S. Tell Gribb I said hello:
