Dear Ma,

Just finished writing a letter to Beryle so will write a few lines to you. Haven’t did much today but go for a ride on a bus and see some things. Had saw several things today that I always wanted to see, but can’t say what they were. Really have saw some interesting things.

Francis was up for awhile this evening. He had been into Honolulu and stopped for awhile on the way home.

I got a letter from you, Beryle and Mars Booty today.

Guess Lyle Edge would be pretty happy about winning the money. Guess Jennie would do some talking about that.

Clarence Lacke should do alright with the hardware business for he is well liked and is a good man. Wouldn’t be a bit surprised either if Henderson is backing him.

You can make me some more candy and send it for that was real soft and was it ever good. That is if you have enough sugar.

I saw most of that furniture that Mrs Carter had for sale and it all looked to be in good shape even though it was old.

I didn’t know that Mrs Booty was having any trouble. Maybe she has the same kind of rheumatism that I use to have. Feel sorry for her if she does.

Glad you got the wood in the shed for you won’t have to dig it all out of the snow in the winter. Seems funny to think of anything like that here. About the only kind of trees I have seen here is palm and banana trees.

You can keep the Willys as far as I am concerned, but I will be satisfied with my Chevrolet.

Well ma don’t know much more news tonight so will close

Love
Howard
