Dear Rena May,
Thought today would be a good time to answer your letter. Only got mail once today an I didn’t get any so I don’t know to much to talk about.
Guess by now you have started to school again. Do you still have the same teacher this year. How many kids are there in your grade this year.
You should be here with me if you want to see airplanes. I have saw so many I don’t even look up at them anymore. Sure wish you could see a lot of things I have saw for I know you would really be interested in them.
Hope you enjoyed your gum an wished afterwards I had send you more of it. Suppose you and ma will be going some place today. You sure have did a lot of bumming around this summer. Sure was glad you could get to go. Thanks for the picture of you and ma even though it don’t flatter you any. You get after Junior and Jenelda an get them to have their pictures taken with the kids a sent to me. Sure is nice to have them to look at.
Ma said you won a big mirror at the picnic. I guess you had a good time. How is the great doggie coming? Do you and him still go hunting.
Went down to see Francis this morning but him and a fellow from Darlington were going to town. They wanted me to go but I didn’t have any desire to. They are suppose to stop an see me this afternoon, but haven’t come as yet. Won’t write ma today for I don’t know much to write about when I don’t get a letter.
Have you sold Brownies calf yet? Guess you made a pet out of it.
Well Dilly guess I will close for today for I don’t know anything to write about.
Love
Howard
