Somewhere in Ireland

Dear Howard
I recieved your letter to-day. It’s really nice to hear from one of you boys back here. My Mail didn’t mean half as much to me back in the states compare to over here. Mail call hasn’t meant so much since I’ve been here. It’s sure hard to write a decent letter from here. I have one line and throw it at everybody.

I am in Northern Ireland. It is a nice place and like it fine. The food is much like we were getting in the states. We do not see any more white bread. It is all brown.

For entertainment we have a show twice a week. Most of my evenings are spend riding a bike in the country and ending up drinking a little beer at a “pub”. A pub is much like our road houses in the states. The beer is different then ours in the states. It’s also have a different money system. We are ration on cigars, candy and etc.

Well, Howard I am running out of time, room and space so better close. Hope this finds you as well as I am. I will write a longer letter next time to answer this you send.

As ever
Willis
